  • Been blighted by migraine recently, which is my excuse for the lack of entries.

Anyway, Chrismas Eve was spent at a wine bar. It was the best option, since a buddy of mine just got attached and his girlfriend was working there. The only other suggestion we had was to check out the Ministry of Sound, which ended up being vetoed due to the anticipated crowd. Speaking of MOS, I would have been there on Wednesday if not for a last minute cancellation and Thursday if not for miscommunication. Argh, I so want to check it out.

We planned to get stoned on vodka/tequila and neither turned up on the list of drinks. After some really disorganised deliberation, we settled on pre-mixed vodka drinks and a bottle of wine. In retrospect, we should have had a bottle of Chivas instead, since none of us got drunk enough at the end of the night. We were also not wine connoisseurs.

I picked up a pack of cards from the Cheers store next door and the moment I returned, the proprietor told me to go back and exchange it for a copy of FHM. I was quite bemused and commented that I was not at all drunk. He led the way and I ended up swapping the pack of cards for a copy of this month FHM and topping up the difference. This month FHM magazine came with FHM playing cards. The next few hours sounded like this:

ooooh, ahhhh, Denise Keller. Why is she only the Ace of Diamonds??/P>

 got Denise Keller again, I think she likes me.?/P>

ngel Lim (Two of Spades), the prettiest of them all.?/P>

www, Eileen Tan (Three of Clubs).?/P>

    hat hotter than one babe? Two/Five babes!?/P>

If we sounded like a bunch of drunks, we were nothing compared to a guy who took off his pants, bared his bum and danced in front of the bar (thankfully there was no frontal nudity). He was so intoxicated that we half expected him to vomit all over the place.

I think they got their regular customers to bring their own songs and it was disastrous, as most of their songs either had volume problems (probably pirated) or plain sucked. Still, it was a rather enjoyable night and we bade each other goodbye when it was closing time.
