So the general manager of the Ministry of Sound has been shown the door after complaints about the long queues despite there being more than enough space in the club. It could have been a tactic to create hype about the club, but Mr Terry Lumb showed that he was no Zhu Ge Liang and paid for it with his job. I am not too sure when he got fired though, but the last time I went clubbing, on Monday, the all too familiar snaking queue was still there when my friends and I went past MOS. The ploy is not working on me and my friends and we are getting quite fond of Double O.

Speaking of Monday, it has put me off clubbing for now and I hope that it will stay that way for some time. That way, I can avoid the strain it places on my wallet and internal organs.

During a buffet, my friend commented that most blogs lack intellectually stimulating entries and are either full of bitching or mindless rambling. Maybe he does not understand that blogs can be defined as online diaries and that diaries are a source of emotional comfort for many. Personally, I wanted most of my entries to be thought invoking, but eventually realised that whining is much easier, and feels better too. Speaking of the buffet, I tried out spanner crabs after a report in The Straits Times highlighted the rich roe within them. However, the last time I ate those, the roe was mushy instead of being solid, quite like mud these days, except that it was orange in colour. That was the case for the whole batch that night. I am just wondering if there is any explanation for that.

To quit or not to quit, that is the major question for me at the moment. It must have been at least a month since the desire to leave crept up on me. It has been largely due to the migraine and the tedium of working on Saturdays (as if providing customer service was not bad enough). I would like to take a break for a month or two and would have been a free man by now if I did not have such wonderful colleagues and a superb supervisor. I discussed resignation with her and predictably, she was not in favour of my departure. Sigh……
